Mission has a unique and long history working with Catholic religious orders, dioceses and their related entities, including retirement trusts, foundations and cemeteries. We are familiar with their structures and processes, investment, accounting and reporting needs, and special processing needs.
Unlike other kinds of organizations, religious typically have irreplaceable assets. We recognize this. Perhaps an order has sold its motherhouse or novitiate and surrounding property, scaled down to a smaller location, and has retained a portion of the proceeds to fund support for its members’ retirement needs. Mission’s strategy recognizes the importance of capital preservation in religious congregations and adjusts for investments risks that pose a significant downside threat to that capital. |
